I had the Tonkatsu Ramen with chicken and it was wonderful! Very rich and full flavored. The service was excellent. Prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant with just the right music and volume. Very laid back. This was my first time here but it won't be the last.

Hidden gem! Tierrasanta residents you are missing out! Great place for a date night. King crab roll and baked salmon roll were amazing. Cocktails and sake were delicious (Fuji apple must try)! New favorite local sushi restaurant

The appetizers and sushi were amazing. Surprised this pace isn't packed. Service is friendly. Beers on tap! And seltzers in a can. We'll be back!

This used to be another sushi spot and is now under new ownership. Here's my food recommendations: - Oyster shooter with a side of sake - Grilled oysters - Baked mussels - Sasuki roll - Crispy potato roll - MUST ORDER! - 6 pc nigiri - Salmon nigiri The seafood here offers great value for its freshness and had no complaints. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. Parking is a plus as the plaza is pretty big. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will certainly return! GO SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BUSINESSES!!

I had a terrific lunch from this place. They make some very delicious rolls. I had the mix tempura, salmon sashimi, the Barcelona Roll, and I asked the sushi chef to surprise me for my last roll, adn he made the T-Town Roll named after Tierrasanta, which turned out to be the best thing I ate during my visit. It is not to say the rest was not good because it was very good. The tempura arrived piping hot and crispy. The tempura shrimp were dynamite. They had a succulent texture and great flavor. The veggies and root vegetables were also very good. I really liked the onion and the sweet potato. I am a fan of salmon sashimi. The salmon was good and good and offered a good silky texture and flavor. The Barcelona roll was very good. It had shrimp tempura, gobo, cucumber, and krab on the inside; and seared albacore, avocado, green onions, and spicy ponzu on the outside It was very flavorful. Finishing it up with the spicy ponzu was perfect. The T-Town Roll was amazing, and it is no surprise that it's a neighborhood favorite. It, too, came with shrimp tempura inside, but it had tuna on the outside topped with a jalapeno slice and spicy mayo that was torched and seared. I loved this specialty roll! The torching gave the jalapeno a nice charred flavor. The tuna was great, and so was the shrimp tempura inside. This roll is a winner. Isabel was my server. She was very sweet and attentive. She made great suggestions, too. The sushi chef, Rany, was very cool and in good spirits. They offer inside and outside seating.

the first thing I noticed about this place is the giant red happy hour menu. They have a ton of drink and food deals during happy hour! This modern-looking restaurant sits unassuming in a business Plaza that may be overlooked, but keep your eyes open so you don't miss it! I don't like seafood, so my reviews are based on pork/chicken/beef/veggie dishes.. so keep that in mind. I ordered the Pork Ramen with fried gyoza. The Ramen was super hot, but it smelled so good that I made the rookie mistake and took a huge gulp and scaled my mouth - meaning I couldn't taste the rest of the dish lol. Thankfully the portion was large enough that I took home leftovers and was finally able to taste the flavors, although I'm sure it was much better fresh. Based on my biased sampling, I'd give it a 4 out of 5, but I'll be back and more patient next time!

A solid sushi spot, but Kaki Sushi in Tierrasanta is still a better choice for quality vs price. PROs: Easy to park. The staff were very courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable. The new decor is very nice and modern vs the previous sushi spot. Lots of options in the bar. A big TV for any games to watch. Lots of table, bar, and outdoor seating. Bathrooms were clean. The seaweed salad was very crisp and fresh. The crispy roll and La Mesa rolls were also tasty with good sized portions. The hot sake was good as well. CONs: The chicken wings were bland and not very crispy at all. Seemed soggy or premade. Not sure. Most of the rolls are crab or shrimp tempura based with a small change like sauce or vegetable but a pretty high price compared to similar other sushi locations. A lot of places will have special rolls for 18-24 bucks but 40% off or something like that.
